These 10 Faces Sum Up a Marathon Row

Director of the CrossFit Games Dave Castro promised the first day of the 2018 Reebok CrossFit Games would be the “toughest day one of the Games” to date.

And judging by the looks on athletes’ faces during the marathon row — the fourth and final event of the day — this statement rang true.

That’s 42,195 meters of rowing.

The first place male finished the event in 2 hours, 43 minutes and 50 seconds. The final woman finished the event in 3 hours, 34 minutes and 22 seconds.

If you didn’t watch the nearly four hour event in full (prizes to anyone who did), these 10 faces sum it up.

Take a look!

When you realize you're stuck in one spot...

When you start thinking about what's for dinner...

When they tell you you're halfway done and almost there...

When you realize halfway done means 21,097 more meters...

When you're trying to remember why you do this...

When you realize you can't feel your butt...

When, for once, you don’t want to be the last man standing...

When you raise your hands in relief, but can't actually feel them...

When you need so much more than just a hug...

When your competitors are your biggest fans, only at the CrossFit Games...
